Why Does Sweating Make Me Itch?

Sweating is also known as transpiration, the process of evaporative water loss through the skin. The pores in your skin are open to allow you to breathe and sweat. Sweat is made up of water which comes out of the body’s cells into its environment (air) where it can be lost through evaporation.

The amount of sweat that comes out depends on many factors including temperature, humidity, clothing material and activity level or exertion. It may feel like you have more perspiration when exercising but this does not necessarily mean there has been an increase in perspiration which would cause itching/burning under your arms or anywhere else for that matter! If this happens then try using a cool washcloth with lukewarm water every few minutes throughout your day just so that excessive sweating does not occur excessively during each session at work / school etc etc…
