Why Am I Sweating So Much For No Reason?

I would wager that the “saline” part of the electrolyte fluid (also called water) has an added chemical that makes it sweat. This chemical(s), if they are not too strong, will make you sweat whether you’re hot or cold; but if they are strong enough to keep people sweating when their bodies aren’t really feeling warm or cool, then they probably work even better than salt and therefore raise your body temperature more than normal. It seems like this could be one of those cases where there’s so little evidence for it being useful because most people don’t experience anything unusual from using it…but I’m no scientist. You might try simply adding some additional electrolytes to your sports drink to see if that helps with the sweatier side effects….
