Excessive sweating is known as hyperhidrosis. Hyperhidrosis occurs because the brain sends signals to the sweat glands, but it doesn’t understand that these are coming from another person’s body. This can cause you to have a very high level of perspiration even without being hot or having exerted yourself at all. People who suffer with this condition often feel self-conscious about it and might not want to go places where they will be noticed by others due to their excessive sweating (such as in public restrooms). The good news is that there are some things you can do for your hyperhidrosis; however, if left untreated it could become chronic and lead to other complications such as infection or scarring on your skin. If you think that you may have excessive sweating then see your physician right away so he/she can evaluate whether this is something serious enough for them to take care of medically, which would mean starting an appropriate treatment regimen immediately!
