Excessive sweating in the morning is most often caused by an adrenal problem. Adrenal problems are diagnosed with a simple blood test called an “Adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) Stimulation Test”. If you have excessive sweating in the morning, this test will tell us whether or not it is due to low cortisol production or high ACTH levels. This testing is considered to be the gold standard for diagnosing many forms of adrenal dysfunction and prescription medications can be prescribed accordingly if needed.
What causes dry mouth?
Dry mouth may occur when there are certain medical issues that compromise saliva production; such as rheumatoid arthritis, thyroid disease or diabetes mellitus type 2 . Certain types of cancer treatments also reduce salivary gland function, which sometimes causes dry mouth symptoms. Dry mouth usually occurs when your body produces less saliva than usual (hypersalivation).
