What Cause Sweating?

sweating is the body’s way of cooling off, which it can’t do externally because of the water in its cells. if you sweat too much then your body will get rid of excess heat by sweating to cool down. this increases output of hormones like epinephrine (also known as adrenaline) and norepinephrine (noradrenaline), both of which help increase heart rate and blood pressure. these hormones act locally on receptors in the bloodstream that are called alpha-1 adrenergic receptors, causing blood vessels to constrict or dilate, resulting in more rapid heartbeat and breathing. also some people sweat during exercise because they’re afraid — their bodies see this as a fight or flight response; they feel stressed out so natural responses include increased perspiration for extra cooling while preparing themselves for further action.”

why does my brain freeze? “my brain freezes sometimes when i am nervous! i have no idea why–sometimes it happens at school, other times at home with friends hanging around me.”

what causes a cough reflex? “the muscle deep inside your chest that produces croupy breathing is also what makes you cough! this reflex works automatically without any conscious thought from you…when something touches those tiny stretchy muscles inside your lungs they contract really hard to empty them…it hurts but there isn’t always coughing involved…”
