Many of us sweat too much. This can be a problem if you are trying to lose weight or lower your blood pressure, but it is also very uncomfortable and embarrassing when no one else knows that you don’t want them to see the sweat on your skin. The reason for this sweating is due to an overactive adrenal gland called the “suprarenal glands” (above the kidneys). These glands make hormones like cortisol which cause our body tissues to break down protein (muscle tissue) in order for it to be used as energy. When we produce more than enough cortisol, our bodies go into survival mode and start breaking down fat cells instead of muscle tissue! This causes frequent urination because there isn’t enough water in our bloodstreams. Also, since toxins get stored in fatty tissue they release into the bloodstream causing congestion/fever/headaches etc… We all know how hard it is at times not being able to take 3-4 showers per day because of allergies, but imagine having daily sweats 5 days out of 7? It would suck! So what can I do about excessive sweating?
